Introducing Elegant Steamer Chair - Peace, this has been transformed from an aging vintage steamer suitcase, to a beautiful one-of-a-kind seat. 

The original metal bands were heavily rusted, and given the uncertain age of the case there was a possibility that the flaking paint was lead based. To ensure it was safe, the case was fully disassembled, stripped of all the old paint before getting an updated colour pallet. 

The body given a modern olive green silk finish, and the metalwork was finished in a beautiful aged copper. The seat features very firm upholstery foam wrapped in luxurious faux leather in Chestnut brown, and accented with three matching buttons to add that finishing touch.

Please note: It's very important to know that if you are considering buying any of our chairs that they do not come in perfect condition. This is because we want the case to keep some link to it's past, so if the body or fittings had any kind of minor damage then we have left this as it is. Please view the close up photos shown.

Materials Used: This item contains a barrier fabric that is a Schedule 3 interliner and ignition source 5 (crib 5) standards of the Furniture and Furnishings 1988 (Fire Safety) Regulations for domestic and commercial use

The foams used have been tested by our supplier(s) to ensure compliance with the relevant Furniture & Furnishings Regs 1988 (Fire Safety) Schedule 1, Pt 1. 
The seat is covered in Faux Leather Fire Retardant Upholstery Fabric.
