Elegant Steamer - Eversley
This was a nice clean example of a steamer trunk, so it's original black covering was left in place and just a clear coat of varnish applied to give it a nice sheen finish. The wooden bands were sanded and revarnished, fittings were also cleaned and then painted in a beautiful gold finish. 

It was interesting to see that this case has a number of double band fittings and one rib has front edge missing. The handles were also in good condition so these were left in place. As fittings are not replaced, you can expect to see dinks and minor damage on anything that has been left in its original state. We also leave anything that may have been fitted at an angle (wonky) to keep originality.

The seat and back cushion are covered in a beautiful velvet fabric print of flowers, plants, butterflies and bird of paradise.

Materials Used: This item contains a barrier fabric that is a Schedule 3 interliner and ignition source 5 (crib 5) standards of the Furniture and Furnishings 1988 (Fire Safety) Regulations for domestic and commercial use

The foams used have been tested by our supplier(s) to ensure compliance with the relevant Furniture & Furnishings Regs 1988 (Fire Safety) Schedule 1, Pt 1. Covers are not match resistant.
